Jorge Moll: The Brazilian Neurologist

He then converted his laboratory into Brazil’s largest network of private hospitals. He is a shareholder in Rede D’Or Sao Luiz, the largest network private hospital in Brazil. Furthermore, he established the Rio De Janeiro-area business in 1977 and sold his stakes to Grupo BTG Pactual in 2010.

In 2011, Fleury purchased his Labs D’OR affiliate. He then owned Sao Luiz, a Sao Paulo based private hospital via transferable debentures. In 2013, he hired the Qualicrp’s former president, Heraclitus Brito to manage the company. The company secured a $255 million loan from International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group to establish his premise.

In 2015, the Carlyle Group bought an 8.3% stake in Moll’s enterprise. The closely managed firm, Rede D’Or, has about 35 hospitals with over 5000 beds across Brazil. Its emergency units handle over 2 million patients annually. Furthermore, the group has 30 oncology clinics. He became the chairmen of the board and retired from the Chief Executive Officer position in 2014. Recently, Moll and his wife live Rio de Janeiro with his 9 children.
